Tonight checks the selected kids first. Adults-only nights do not apply child safety limits.
Recommendations pull from Want to watch first, recent releases second, and the rest of Shelf last.
The kind of night changes the order inside those pools: calm favors lower energy and lower intensity, silly favors comedy and animation, something new favors recent release years, and old favourite favors watched titles.
Each movie gets a product-owned experience profile from its age guidance, genre, release year, description, watched state, and Want to watch state.
Starter settings are product-owned age defaults. Parent-set limits stay fixed unless you switch them back to starter settings.
